Primo Voce
Training Level (grades 2 – 4)
Our Primo Voce singers are energetic learners who love to sing. The goal for this group is to create a beautiful sound in all singing: singing songs, singing games, singing warm-ups, singing activities. They also become familiar with musical terminology and the basics of reading music.
Singers should be steady readers with the ability to match pitch. All other skills, breath control, beautiful vowels, diction, are all taught through the rehearsals. As a training level choir, the focus is on learning and not so much on performing. They do perform for the two NCCC concert productions in December and May, delighting our audiences.
Audition for Primo Voce is low-key. However, 4th graders who would like to tryout for Intermezzo will need to go through regular audition.
